Cypress Village of Sugarmill Woods is a Deed Restricted Community within the Sugarmill Woods (SMW) community. Cypress Village was originally formed in 1975 as part of the new development community called Sugarmill Woods which was established the same year. Within the SMW community, Cypress Village is the largest of the three major Deed Restricted Communities.

As Fall approaches Cypress Village Property Owners Board of Directors will begin preparing for our Annual Meeting to be held in March of 2021.  We are interested in ensuring any owner in good standing that wants to run for election to the CVPOA BOD has the opportunity to do so.  I If interested in submitting a bio please follow the instructions below:

Requesting Candidates for Board of Directors

Do you have an interest in serving on the CVPOA Board of Directors?  There will be three vacancies to be elected at the March 2021 Annual Members’ Meeting.  Members interested in serving on the Board must submit a short bio to the CVPOA Board of Directors.

  • Bios must be RECEIVED no later than 5:00 p.m., December 11, 2020.
  • Bios must be limited to one page in length
  • The bio should be submitted electronically via email to Vicky Bolton, President at  [email protected] – Please copy our Office Manager Karen Marrero at [email protected]
  • Bios should be submitted using Microsoft Word in 12 pitch font.

Board members are non-compensated volunteers, serve three (3) year terms, and are expected to actively serve on Board committees.  The newly elected members’ terms will run through March 2024.

Requirements as specified in Bylaw 4.3:

Any member in good standing may submit their name as a candidate for election to the Board of Directors.  The candidate shall submit a short bio no less than five (5) business days before the regular December board meeting for their name to be included on the ballot.  All candidates will be required to sign consent for an industry standard background check.  No candidate may run for any seat on the Board where they will serve on the Board simultaneously with any other person who lives in the same home or owns the same parcel. 

Please consider serving our community as a member of the Board.

CVPOA Board meetings are held at 9:00 a.m. the third Friday of every month.  Information will be provided the Wednesday prior to the scheduled meeting via email, on the outside office bulletin board, and on this web page.
