Cypress Village of Sugarmill Woods is a Deed Restricted Community within the Sugarmill Woods (SMW) community. Cypress Village was originally formed in 1975 as part of the new development community called Sugarmill Woods which was established the same year. Within the SMW community, Cypress Village is the largest of the three major Deed Restricted Communities.

CVPOA Annual Assessment 2021

 


The CVPOA annual assessment payments submitted to the association office are currently undergoing processing.  This processing, which has been slightly delayed, was transitioned to the property management company’s headquarters in New Port Richey.  Please excuse the delay that has resulted.

 

We anticipate that all payments, which were due no later than May 7, 2021, will be processed within the next ten days.


If your payment has not cleared your bank account by May 20, 2021, please contact the CVPOA office at 352-382-1900

NOTE:  As stated in the By-laws (6.5), payments received after 5 PM, May 7, 2021, are considered late, and are subject to a $25 plus 18% annual interest rate fee.

CVPOA and Zoom
Using Zoom on your device is easy and fun! 
If you are a member of the CVPOA, and wish to join our Board Meetings via Zoom, please forward your name, address, and email account address where you wish to receive Zoom invitations, and your contact phone number, to the following email address: [email protected]  
To establish a Zoom account:
You will receive an email from Zoom, explaining that they have created a Zoom account for you. The email will contain an activation button for you to click on to activate your Zoom account.  Follow their instructions to activate your account.
Meeting Invite:
As the date for upcoming scheduled meetings approaches, you will receive a Meeting Invitation email that contains the “Join Zoom Meeting” information. 
If using a computer or a tablet, a hyperlink is provided for you to click on to login and join the meeting.  Below that hyperlink will be a “Meeting ID” number and a “Passcode.”  You may want to write down the Meeting ID and Passcode before you click on the hyperlink, as you will need both for the next steps.
If using a mobile device, instructions to use “One tap mobile”, or ”Direct Dial” are also included. You may want to write down the Meeting ID and Passcode before you click on the hyperlink, as you will need both for the next steps.
To log in to the meeting: 
•    simply click on the hyperlink in the email (or dial the number if using a mobile device)
•    enter the Member ID
•    enter the Passcode, and 
•    select  Submit
You will then be logged in to the Zoom meeting.  
You will initially be in a Waiting Room. 
Your entry from the Waiting Room into the Main Meeting Room will be seamless, as it is handled by the Meeting Host.  
You will have the option to mute your microphone. Clicking on the microphone icon will mute and unmute it. When it has a “slash” through it, your microphone is muted. Please mute when the meeting is in session unless you plan to speak.  You also have the opportunity to turn on and off the video capture of yourself.  If you turn the video option off, others in the meeting will not be able to see you.  Please utilize the feature that allows you to “raise your hand” if you are interested in speaking during the public comment sessions.  Be aware that your video setting must be set to “On” for this feature to be seen.  Also, when the appropriate time for you to speak is recognized, be sure to “unmute” your speaker so that everyone in the meeting can hear you speak.

The CVPOA Communications Committee, on behalf of the Board of Directors, would like to thank the community for letting your voices be heard, both at the annual meeting and by casting votes.

As fiduciaries to you, it is the goal of your newly elected Board for 2021 to encourage transparency and community involvement; to work fairly and equitably on your behalf to truly represent each and every property owner.

The best way for us to achieve this goal is to let property owners know that every opinion and concern expressed by any property owner is to be respected, addressed, and dealt with in a timely manner.

We need your help. We encourage anyone interested to please volunteer your time and talent to help achieve the goal of making Sugarmill Woods Cypress Village a place that we are all proud of and a place that we will all love to call home for many years to come.

We will be requesting volunteers for various committees as we do some reorganization in the next several weeks. If you had previously wanted to volunteer for a committee, are currently on a committee, or have previous experience being on a committee, this will be your opportunity to help our community.

The various committees include:  Deed Restrictions, Common Area, Public Safety, Architectural Control Board (ACB), Rules and Regulations, Communications and Technology, and Finance.

At the organizational meeting held on April 1, 2021, the following directors were elected to position of officers for CVPOA;

             Secretary - Bobbie Perreault
             Treasurer - vacant....
We are currently looking for a member of the community who may be interested in stepping in as the Treasurer for the association.  The Treasurer does not have to be a director, so would not have to be involved in board operations other than dealing with the finances.

The remaining directors for 2021 include: Jack Marshall, Sue Hale, Vicky Bolton and Wayne Hand

There are currently two vacancies that need to be filled due to resignations.  If you are interested in serving on the Board of Directors, please send your bio to the email shown above.
